Where a 3 x 8 banner is used
A 3 x 8 ft banner suits a rally podium, a sports fence, a school gym wall or a storefront with a wide fascia. It reads clearly from the far side of a parking lot.
Grommets and hems
Every banner is hemmed on all four sides. Brass grommets sit in each corner and about every 2 ft along the top and bottom hems, which is 10 grommets on a 3 x 8 ft banner. That is enough to zip tie it flat to a fence or rope it between posts without sagging.
Letter height and reading distance
The standard rule is 1 inch of letter height for every 10 feet of viewing distance. From 25 ft you need letters about 2.5 inches tall, from 50 ft about 5 inches and from 100 ft about 10 inches. This banner is 36 inches tall, so after 1 inch margins it fits 5 lines of 5 inch text or 2 lines of 10 inch text with spacing.
