What coroplast actually is

Coroplast is corrugated polypropylene: two flat sheets bonded across a fluted core, like plastic cardboard. It is rigid, waterproof, will not rust or delaminate, and weighs little enough that a single metal stake holds a 24 x 36 board upright. The flutes run vertically on our signs so the prongs of an H-stake slot straight in.

Why flute direction matters

Flutes running the wrong way make a sign impossible to stake and easy to fold in wind. Every board here is cut with flutes parallel to the stake, which is also why the sign stands up to being pulled and re-planted through a season.

Printing on coroplast

We print edge to edge with UV latex inks that cure on the surface of the board rather than soaking in. Supply artwork at 100 DPI at full size with 0.125 in bleed and a 0.5 in safety margin; templates for all three sizes are on the artwork guidelines page.

Questions about coroplast signs

Is coroplast the same as corrugated plastic?
Yes. Coroplast is the common trade name for corrugated polypropylene board. We print 4mm, the standard weight for stake-mounted outdoor signs.
How long does a coroplast sign last outdoors?
12 or more months of normal outdoor exposure with UV inks. Rain, sprinklers and heat are not a problem.
Can coroplast signs be recycled?
Coroplast is polypropylene, resin code 5. Many municipal programs accept it; check locally, and remove the metal stake first.
