Bannerology ("Bannerology", "we", "us") operates bannerology.com and sells custom printed banners and display hardware. This policy explains how we handle personal information for visitors and customers of the site.

1. Information we collect

  • Order and contact information. Name, email, phone, billing address and shipping address you provide to request a quote, place an order or contact support.
  • Artwork and design content. Files you upload, plus designs you create in the Design Studio, including the text, photos and layout you enter.
  • Payment information. Card payments are processed by our payment processor. We receive confirmation and limited details such as the card brand and last four digits. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Technical and usage data. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URL and interactions with the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Advertising data. Click identifiers and conversion events associated with our Google Ads and other paid campaigns.

2. How we use information

  • Produce, proof, ship and support your order.
  • Process payments and prevent fraudulent or abusive orders.
  • Provide customer service, proofs, reprints and refunds.
  • Measure and improve advertising, site performance and product selection.
  • Send transactional messages, and marketing email only where you have opted in or where permitted by law with an unsubscribe link in every message.
  • Comply with tax, accounting and legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We share personal information only with service providers who need it to perform work for us, under contract, and only for that purpose. Categories include printing and fulfillment partners, shipping carriers, payment processors, cloud hosting and storage, email delivery, and analytics and advertising platforms. We also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money. We do use advertising and analytics cookies, which under California law may be treated as "sharing" for targeted advertising; you can opt out as described in Section 6.

4. Artwork, designs and uploaded files

Files you upload and designs you create are stored in private storage and used to produce your order, provide proofs, and enable reorders. We do not license, resell or publish your artwork, and we do not use it in marketing without your written permission. You confirm that you own or have the right to print the content you submit. Production files are retained for a limited period to support reorders and reprint claims, then deleted on our normal retention schedule or sooner on request.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the cart and site, plus analytics and advertising cookies to understand campaign performance. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and you can opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google's Ads Settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break checkout and the Design Studio.

6. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

Bannerology is a California business. If you are a California resident you have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, the right to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise any right, email privacy@bannerology.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". We verify requests using the email and order details associated with your account or order, and we respond within 45 days. An authorized agent may submit a request with written permission. To opt out of advertising cookies, email us with the subject line "Do Not Share My Personal Information" or use your browser's Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor.

7. Other state and international rights

Residents of other US states with comprehensive privacy laws have comparable rights of access, correction, deletion and opt-out, and may use the same contact address. We ship within the United States; if you contact us from outside the US, your information is processed in the United States.

8. Security and retention

We use encryption in transit, access controls and private storage for customer files. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. We retain order records as long as needed for warranty, accounting and legal purposes, then delete or anonymize them.

9. Children

The site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Changes and contact

We will post any update to this policy on this page with a new effective date. Questions: privacy@bannerology.com.
