What to put on it
Three things: GRAND OPENING in the largest letters, the business name, and the date or hours. Add the street address only if the banner hangs away from the store. Skip the phone number unless the banner faces slow traffic. Two colors with strong contrast read best from the road.

A 3 x 6 ft banner is the size most people choose. It covers a section of chain link fence, spans the front of a small storefront, hangs behind a check in table and reads from across a parking lot. How to hang it
Over a storefront, screw into the fascia through the top grommets with washers, or hang from two hooks and tie the bottom corners. On a fence, zip tie every grommet. On chain link, run a zip tie through each grommet and around the wire, pulling the corners first and then the middle.
Files, templates and proofs

Send a PDF, PNG or JPG at 72.5 x 36.5 inches, which is the trim size plus 0.25 inch bleed on each edge, at 100 DPI: 7250 x 3650 pixels. Half scale at 200 DPI gives the same pixel count. Keep text at least 1 inch inside the trim. There is no proof step, so check spelling, dates and phone numbers before you order.
How long 13 oz vinyl lasts outdoors
13 oz scrim vinyl printed with UV inks holds its color for about 3 to 5 years outdoors. Wind is the main wear point, at the grommets, so pull every grommet snug rather than tying only the corners. Roll it print side out for storage, never fold it.
